Christmas Gift Guide for the Last-Minute Shopper

Christmas is already less than a week away and going to the mall to buy presents is about as pleasant as getting a root canal. Whether you’re not done with your Christmas shopping because you’re too lazy or too busy or both, time’s running out. But before you start panicking, read through our list of Christmas gifts you can get at the last minute.

Gift Card

The gift card is often considered to be an impersonal present but I personally love getting them because I can choose whatever present I want. Pretty much all stores sell gift cards these days, but make sure you get one that has a wide variety of items. Don’t know what stores the recipient likes to shop at? You can also get him or her a gift card to a good restaurant.

Spa Treatment

A massage is always a great luxury to indulge in, especially after a long day at work. Spa treatments don’t just stop at massages though; in fact, most spas offer a whole range of services, from facials to to pedicures. There are even spa treatments available for men these days. Ask your local spa about their holiday packages or check out SpaFinder for spa deals in a particular area.

Coffee

Who doesn’t love starting the day with a hot cup of coffee? Starbucks, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, and other coffee shops offer a variety of special Christmas coffee blends and gift baskets for friends and family. Don’t want to get them coffee? Coffee shops also offer French presses, coffee makers, and even gift cards.

Flowers

Flowers are great for any occasion – they’re pretty to look at and brighten up even the dullest of room. The best part about them is that you can have them sent out on a very short notice. You don’t even have to leave the house to get someone a bouquet. Check out the holiday deals at Flowers Express and Philippine Flowers and Gifts.

Gourmet Food Basket

Eating delicious food is one of the best parts about Christmas. Since most people don’t usually buy themselves gourmet food, give a friend or family member a gourmet gift basket. Chocolates, cookies, and fruit are great, but don’t limit yourself to the usual food basket treats. Include sausages, dips, maybe even a prime cut steak or a lobster.
