TOMS Gives out One Millionth Pair to a Child in Need

You might have already heard of TOMS, the environmental-friendly and ethical brand known for their ultra-comfortable canvas shoes. But were you aware that with every purchase of TOMS shoes, you give one pair to a child in need? The brand was founded in 2006 when an American traveler named Blake Mycoskie visited a village in Argentina and discovered that the children had no shoes and no money to buy them. Thus TOMS Shoes was born, a truly sustainable business that transforms its customers into benefactors with its One for One mission – one pair of shoes to a child in need for every pair that you buy.

To celebrate the one millionth pair given away, TOMS is planning a public commemoration event in Los Angeles, which will be held in late September following the Shoe Drop in Argentina, giving TOMS the opportunity to continue to celebrate and give thanks to those who have directly contributed to this accomplishment.
