A couple of months ago, local t-shirt brand Analog Soul invited all Pinoy graphic artists and designers to join the Do You Have an Analog Soul? T-shirt Design Contest. The contest received numerous entries from all sorts of creative minds, but only two designs could be chosen for the True Analog Soul award and the Soul on Demand Voters’ Choice. The winners of the contest are Jeffrey dela Cruz (left) with his “Through the Years†entry for the Soul on Demand Voters’ Choice, and Ronnie Amador (right) with his “Rock Star Kit†entry.
Jeffrey actually submitted 9 entries but was banking on the “Through the Years” entry to win. The winning design was inspired by the different media used to play music throughout the years. Jeffrey explains that during his dad’s time they used turntables and when his brother was born, casette tapes were all the rage. Music in Jeffrey’s generation came in compact discs.
Like Jeffrey, Ronnie Amador submitted multiple entries (36) but was hoping that his “Rock Star Kit” design would win – and it did! The design was based on his frustration at being unable to play a music instrument. Like most kids of this generation, Ronnie loves music and hopes to be able to join the talented artists who rule the airwaves. If only there were actual rock star kits that could turn us into rock stars someday.
Watch out for the shirt designs of Jeffrey and Ronnie at Analog Soul stores in Archeology Rockwell Center, The Ramp Glorietta 4, and Trinoma Mall. For more information on Analog Soul, check out the website at www.analog-soul.com.
