Gossip Girl Party at the BlueWater Day Spa’s Spa Theater

If you think you’ve seen the best services the spas in the Metro have to offer, then you haven’t heard of the latest addition at BlueWater Day Spa yet! This week, the BlueWater Day Spa branch along Ortigas Avenue just opened the world’s first Spa Theater. Who’d have thought a spa inside a movie theater – or a movie theater that offers spa treatments – would be such a wonderful combination? Equipped with Dolby Surround 7.1 sound, high-definition cinema projectors, and Blu Ray players, the BlueWater Spa Theater can accommodate 28 people at a time on Lazyboy-type chairs. Each chair has custom-made leather seats and designed to recline at the perfect angle so you can enjoy the spa treatment and the movie. Treatments available at the BlueWater Spa Theater are Foot Reflex (With Back and Shoulder massage) and Foot Scrub only – which is fine, because I don’t think anyone can enjoy both a movie and a full massage at the same time.

The BlueWater Spa Theater is open to rent for private parties, and sky’s the limit with the parties you can hold here. And this is where my idea comes in. When I think of spas, I get reminded of the Gossip Girl episode where Blair held a spa-type slumber party at her apartment. Which made me think that a Gossip Girl themed party would be an appropriate party to hold at the BlueWater Spa’s Spa Theater. Sure, it’s not really the most gender-inclusive party theme, but wouldn’t it be great to marathon Gossip Girl episodes at the same time they receive treatment fit for Upper East Side socialites? Guests can come in in fancy lingerie or sleepwear, and sip on cocktails (I wonder if alcohol is allowed) while they watch the drama unfold on screen.

I’d love to try out the BlueWater Spa’s Spa Theater experience though, whether it’s during a Gossip Girl themed party or some other event!
