I used to be extremely conservative when it came to shoes, choosing only simple styles in neutral colors (black and brown) so I can easily wear them with anything. Only recently did I realize how much shoes can make or break one’s outfit. A white tank top and jeans might seem like the most boring outfit in the world but paired with heels or flats that demand to be noticed, the whole look simply comes off as effortlessly chic. Since then I’ve been paying more attention to shoes whenever I go window shopping, keeping an eye out for interesting styles and never shying away from color. Who cares if I may not have clothes that go with my new shoes? All the more reason to go shopping!

It seems like the arrival of VNC’s spring and summer 2009 collection seems to reflect my new-found philosophy regarding fashionable footwear! The Malaysian shoe store brings high fashion styles from Paris’s runways to malls in Manila so Filipino women can be inspired to become a little more adventurous and fearless with their shoe options. The designs are a little bit on the safe side, which is good for those who are testing the waters by splashing subtle color onto their wardrobe.

Besides bejeweled flats, buckled heels, and embellished sandals, VNC also carries classic styles for corporate women who want innovative footwear while staying within the bounds of the office dress code. The best part about VNC is that the shoes are very affordable, with prices ranging from P700 – P1500.

Make sure you stop by a VNC store on June 14 to see the new arrivals from the VNC Summer 2009 collection! VNC can be found at L3 East Wing Robinson’s Galleria, Glorietta 3, Robinson’s Manila, SM Mall of Asia, SM Megamall, TriNoma, Alabang Town Center, Shangri-La Plaza Mall, SM North Edsa Annex, and the new Eastwood Mall.

Nice flats! I would love to try a splash of colors
with my shoes yet I tend to veer to the dark side aka
black for safety. Hopefully we can get more ideas on how
to properly wear colorful shoes with different outfits.
