A Fundraising Concert for Filipino Children by UNICEF and Beautiful Mind Charity

Beautiful Mind Charity (BMC) and UNICEF Philippines will bring unique talents to Manila to stage a one night only performance at the Cultural Center of the Philippines on Friday, April 3, 2009 for the benefit of Filipino street children. The Beautiful Children Concert will feature world-class musicians like the Beautiful Mind Trio (Il Hwan Bai on the cello, Jung Sil Suh on the guitar, and Geenie Jung on the violin), pianost Hye Young Park, the Clarion Chamber Ensemble, and crossover artist Kyul. To further inspire Filipinos, gifted artists will perform as a testament to the possibility of achieving one’s dreams despite challenges. Among these artists are the visually impaired clarinetist San Jae Lee, acute myelogenous leukemia Filipino soprano Alexis Edralin, and congenital limb deformity pianist Hee Ah Lee.
BMC is a non-government organization from Korea that has been organizing fundraising activities since 2006 to raise funds for local communities and charity organizations. Through concerts and exhibitions, BMC would like to demonstrate that people can be united it cultural and artistic endeavors.
All the proceeds from the Beautiful Children Concert will go to UNICEF in order to make childrens’ right a reality in the Philippines. UNICEF will then use these funds to improve the situation of women and children in Filipino communities.
