    Skin Needling

    Yesterday, I already spoke about how skin needling helped improve my acne scars. The procedure involves making microscopic wounds on the surface of the skin to stimulate collagen growth and even out icepick scars and acne scars.

    According to Dr. Jean Marquez, a consultant at the Skin Specialist Clinic, collagen is responsible for making skin plump, tight, and firm. After a skin needling treatment, scars become shallower, the skin tightens, and wrinkles diminish or disappear. You can avail of the procedure every two or three weeks; after four or six sessions, your skin will be close to flawless.

    Carboxytherapy

    If it’s your unsightly stretch marks, tummy flabs, and cellulite that you want to get rid of, carboxytherapy is exactly what you need. This is a non-surgical procedure that takes as fast as ten minutes to half an hour, and recovery time is very fast. A very small insulin needle will be injected onto your skin to infuse filtered, purified carbon dioxide (CO2) supplied by a machine. CO2 has been proven to kill fat cells and cause blood vessels in the skin to dilate, which enhances blood flow and oxygen production. The only side effects are a tingling sensation near the injection site, which fades after treatment. After five sessions, patients usually notice healthier and firmer skins, but the number of sessions vary depending on your body. Some improvements take place right away, while others take more time.

    Of course, maintaining your newly flat abs is entirely up to you. Physical inactivity and overeating will cause unwanted fat to come back. The only way you can maximize the benefits of carboxytherapy treatments is by eating a healthy diet and finding time for regular exercise.
