Just because it’s imported, it does not necessarily mean that it’s made out of superior stuff. Locally made products are just as good, if not better, and the only reason why a lot of us don’t know this is because our market is saturated with imported goods and because the high quality goods we produce are consumed outside of the country.

All of this is about to change, and the Buy Pinoy Movement Foundation is one of the few spearheading this change. The Buy Pinoy Movement Foundation Inc is holding the 16th Buy Pinoy Exporters’ Fair on November 27 -30, 2008 at SM Megatrade Hall 2, 5th level, Mega B, SM Megamall. Featuring export-quality Christmas decorations, clothes, accessories, organic products, furniture, and household items, the Buy Pinoy Fair offers all sorts of world-class products for Filipino buyers.

Besides making Filipino-produced goods more available to local consumers, the Buy Pinoy Fair also aims to raise consumer consciousness on the global competitiveness of Filipino products, promote Filipino products here and abroad through fora and trade fairs, encourage local talent and investors by showing them the advantages of producing products locally, and promote sustainable development.
