The Dark Knight at SM Mall of Asia IMAX Theater

I’m one of the few losers who didn’t get to see The Dark Knight during its opening weekend, but to make it up to myself I shall be watching it at the IMAX Theater at the SM Mall of Asia sometime this week. I heard that parts of The Dark Knight were shot specifically for IMAX, but not just to razzle-dazzle people with special effects. Apparently, it plays a key role in setting the mood and tone of the story. For instance, the outdoor shots and the bird’s eyeview of the city are stretched out to cover the whole IMAX screen space, which gives you an overwhelming sense of its size.

    thanks for the heads up :) i’m a loser too and haven’t seen it. the idea of watching it in imax sounds exciting!

    BUT, i just checked the sm cinema website (here) and no, they’re just showing it in 2D :(
