Make Your Own Havaianas 2008
This year’s Make Your Own Havaianas Event is bigger and better than the last two. As early as 9 am, a huge crowd of Havaianas fans and collectors were already lining up outside the Rockwell tent. The designs that you can buy at the store are already gorgeous on their own, but there’s nothing quite like personalizing your items that can make you feel that it’s really yours.
Before you can customize your pair of Havaianas, you need to get a card that shows you the colors and buttons available.
1. Then, you get to choose the sole and the strap of your flip-flops. Yes, you’re free to mix and match whatever colors you want!
2. Next, choose your embellishments. Lifestyle pins to reflect your personality, Swarovski crystals to show off your chic, and letter-pins to spell out your name. The letter pins are the newest addition to this year’s Make Your Own Havaianas.
3. The friendly Havaianas staff will assemble your special pair for you on the spot.
4. If you choose to have Swarovski embellishments, there’s a separate station just for it.
5. You can also buy lacinhos (“little laces”) to add more oomph your customized pair.
6. And you’re done! You can buy your exclusive creation for only P795.00 (Adults sizes from 33/4 to 45/6) and P745.00
(Kids sizes from 25/6 to 31/2) without embellishments. You’ll be charged P50.00 for each pin or Swarovski embellishment, while lacinhos will cost an additional P200.00 per pair (a pair of lacinhos per pair of slippers will be allowed).
You get a free drink and snack after your purchase. And rest.
