Greenbelt 5

Greenbelt 5Yesterday., my husband and I dropped our two girls to the Greenbelt 3 . We decided to watch a movie while waiting for them. As we searched for our parking space below Greenbelt 3, the guard led us to a lower parking level. This seems like a new parking lot, we thought. There seemed to be lots of available parking spaces. This is unusual. No shoppers on a Saturday December night? After we parked, we proceeded to the entrance where we asked the guard what was on top of this new parking space. He said “Greenbelt 5″. I totally forgot about the construction. So this is the high-end addition to the Greenbelt malls. Greenbelt 5 finally opened.

As we entered Greenbelt 5 from the parking place, all we saw were swanky stores like Michale Cors, couture of Jun Escario, DKNY, Bang & Olufsen. More stores are coming soon like Banana Republic. I noticed restaurants like Chateau 1771 in the first floor and La Maison. Kiehl store is also there. Kiehl’s has a great collection of body, face, and hair products and all-time favorites like the lip balm, the body lotion and a shampoo that removes chlorine build-up.

Top local designers will be opening boutiques in Greenbelt 5 s like the talented Amina Aranaz, designer Arnel Papa, Patrice Ramos-Diaz, Jun Escario, Randy Ortiz, Jojie Lloren, Joey Samson, Dennis Lustico, Ivarluski Aseron, Vic Barba, Emie Jorge, Lulu Tan-Gan, Lila Almario, Ana Rocha and Michi Calica. Greenbelt 5 positions itself to be the Philippines’ premier fashion lifestyle center, featuring international luxury brands as well as the best of Filipino artistry and ingenuity.

Greenbelt 5There were probably more stores inside but I was too busy exploring the architecture. Not many seemed to be buying anything inside. Maybe not many now about Greenbelt 5. The chorale singing in the second floor had a few spectators. I would think this is an area for cultural shows to attract the shoppers. The white exterior paints gave such a classy look to Greenbelt 5′ Opening. Design is airy, spacious and lots of lights and natural lighting. (I was there at night but I presume the natural lights will come through the glass panes) The high ceilings give the feeling of space. There are pockets of furniture arrangement which looks inviting for shoppers to rest. I wonder if I can really hang out in those couches scattered around Greenbelt 5. It feels like one is in a lobby of a five star hotel. Greenbelt 5 complements the Ayala Museum which happens to be their next door neighbor.
