Royal Elastics in Manila

I am not a shoe freak and often get lazy to buy new pairs of shoes. So when Alma Buenviaje of Geiser Maclang dragged Jayvee, Juned and myself to the Royal Elastics branch in SM Mall of Asia, I relented. I was curious to see this new trendy casual footwear to hit Manila. Combining equal parts of vintage-athletic cool and haute couture runway style, they changed the perception of how sneakers were worn by fusing athletics and leisure, two previously unassociated footwear categories. I wanted to see the cool Royal Elastics Store

Royal Elastics is still on a soft opening at the SM Mall of Asia and Trinoma Malls though. I was fortunate to meet the President, Jon Parsons. He explained theat “2007 is something of a transition year for Royal Elastics as they move towards a more digitally-biased methodology in terms of the way they communicate and interact with partners and customers.” Looking over the display, I thought I wouldn’t find a single pair of Royal Elastics for me. All seemed trendy and youthful for my 50 year old me.

I chose this chic walking shoes that cost 3,950 pesos. I like the fact that it had arch support. Not many closed flat shoes have this kind of arch support. I immediately thought of my daughter, Lauren who has a fallen arch ( or flat footed) . She should buy one of these shoes. I look so pleased to own this new pair of casual shoes. I will wear this in my next leisurely walk with my husband.
