The Elancyl Woman and Cellulite

I have always been a firm believer that one can’t lose fats by applying lotion, massage or any other methods without diet and exercise. When Elancyl launched its product on September 4, I just had to hear the testimonials of the four Elancyl Women who tried the product for 14 days. One of the endorsers claimed that her skin firmed up but admitted that she didn’t measure for any inches lost. I am still skeptical. Cellulite, those unsightly fatty deposits, is an ugly fact of life for 90 percent of women. Cellulite is not just ordinary fat but a specific combination of fat, waste, and water that forms a bumpy, rippled mass that gets trapped in the fibrous, connective tissue just below the skin’s surface. How can one lose those cellulite with a lotion or liquid application. One would still need proper diet and exercise.

There are mainly two kinds of cellulite creams offered in retail stores, namely short term cellulite reduction creams and the long term cellulite reduction creams. Short term creams are usually not very expensive and as the name suggests, they basically aim at achieving short term results, thus leading to fast removal of cellulite. However, in reality, it provides only a temporary relief by reducing the lumpiness of skin, but does not completely treat cellulite. The basic principle on which these creams work includes rehydrating and diminishing the tightening of the skin. Long term creams, on the other hand, ensure a permanent removal of cellulite. These creams penetrate into the skin and thus head their way towards the subcutaneous layer of fatty tissues. They cause the Cellulite to break down and also ensure smooth flushing of toxins from the body. To derive the benefit of the anti cellulite cream, it is of utmost importance to pay attention to the instructions mentioned in the manufacturer’s instruction booklet .

Elancyl is believed to be the long term cream. Unfortunately, I haven’t tested Elancyl yet so I will just have to rely on their press kit on how their creams work. One of these days, I will test it for myself and report back to you if indeed Elancyl can remove my cellulite.

So what is Elancyl?

The Elancyl line of French anti-cellulite products has been formally launched in the Philippines by Pacific Healthcare Co., one of the leading importers, distributors, and marketers of healthcare and related products in Thailand.

The time-programmed texture of the Elancyl Lipo-Reducing Concentrate is the latest innovation from Galenic’s Elancyl Laboratories. The Elancyl Lipo-Reducing concentrate works naturally with the body’s biorhythm and releases an active ingredient called Phloridzine, unique only to Elancyl. Only a single application in the morning is needed and the formula acts throughout the day to ensure the diffusion of its active ingredients.

In the same formula, the Elancyl Lipo-Reducing Concentrate brings together the day time active ingredients and the night time active ingredients. Day time active ingredients include Caffeine, PEG-Ester and TEA-salicylate which are contained in a fluid-like gel. These active ingredients are released as soon as the product is applied on the skin, boosting the fat release process in the morning. Night time active ingredients are composed of the patented extract Phloridzine, the draining complex of Pilosella and Hesperidine Methyl Chalcone (HMC) which are enclosed in silicone microparticles. These are kept on the surface of the skin during the application of the product in order to reach the target cells later on. These active ingredients reduce the storage of fats and increase natural drainage of the body during the evening.

Biometrological studies and utilization tests were used to evaluate the anti-cellulite efficacy of the Elancyl Lipo-Reducing Concentrate. Results showed that the average centimetric loss of girth on the thighs treated in comparison with the non-treated thighs was 0.65 cm on the fourteenth day, with a maximum reduction of 2.9 cm. After 28 days of daily use, the results improved with an average loss of 0.81 cm, the maximum reaching 3.7 cm.

During the utilization test, 141 women aged from 18 to 45 years old were able to validate the slimming and cosmetic properties of Elancyl Lipo-Reducing Concentrate. The product not only prevailed because of its presentation, its cosmetic properties and its ease of use, but also because of the results obtained for rapid improvement of the cellulitic appearance and the quality of the skin. Eighty-one percent of the women who tested the product judged it favorably in comparison to their usual anti-cellulite product.

The Elancyl Activ’ Slimming Massage Glove + Slimming Shower Gel is to be used daily in the shower, followed by a massage on towel-dried skin with bare hands. Developed in collaboration with physiotherapists, the massage glove and gel work together by stimulating cutaneous microcirculation. Massage also promotes cellular exchange, toxin elimination, and boosts skin oxygenation while toning and firming the skin. The massage method is particularly recommended as a complement with Elancyl slimming care.

The Elancyl Toning Shower Gel gently cleanses the skin and leaves it toned. The soap-free gel turns into foam upon contact with water and is recommended with daily use.

The Elancyl Stretch Mark Reducing Concentrate has a blue algae extract with repairing and cell stimulating properties that helps reduce existing stretch marks.
