My husband and I were just strolling around Christmas-themed SM Mall of Asia when we passed by the exhibit of Sony’s BRAVIA HDTV. We immediately checked it out and were awed by the resolutions. I’ve heard of Bravia in reviews. BRAVIA has several achievements to its credit, the biggest of which has been its role in creating the demand for LCD TVs.

A year ago, Sony shook up the TV industry with its introduction of its new Bravia liquid crystal display (LCD) TV line. With some of the most vivid reproduction of reds and greens in the business, rivaling that of plasma technology, Sony catapulted to the top of the sales charts during the 2005 holiday season.

Since then, several rivals have overtaken Sony in terms of unit sales. Sony now hopes to regain the crown with its new 46-inch KDL46XBR3. (A sister set, the KDL46XBR2, offers the same technology but with a silver bezel).

I asked my husband if he’d buy me an HDTV as a gift to me. By the look on his face, I knew that it’s best that it’s a surprise. Now we wouldn’t want to spoil the fun, right?
