Choosing your bridal gown or wedding gown is one of the most important decisions you’ll have to make when you and your fiance decide to tie the knot. Whether you already have a design in mind or are completely clueless as to what style you should get, here are a few things you should keep in mind when shopping for a bridal dress.

Filipino weddings are usually elaborate church weddings, and the most appropriate design for this occasion is usually an Cinderella-style gown. Even so, your wedding gown should be a reflection of your personality and taste. If you want to deviate a little bit from tradition, you can wear a white bridal gown with colored accents that match your bouquet. If you want things old-fashioned, a frilly, romantic wedding gown would probably be more your style.

Even if you have your heart set on a particular wedding gown, make sure you try out different styles anyway. The wedding dress that you like may turn out to be unflattering for your figure. It doesn’t hurt to explore and experiment, and trying on different dresses certainly won’t cost you anything.

When you’ve found THE wedding gown at the end of the day, stop looking and just buy it. Especially if it’s a one-of-a-kind gown that you won’t certainly see anywhere. Chances are, if you hesitate and decide to buy it another day, the bridal gown you want will no longer be there.
