The Compassionate Friends is an international organization that helps families come to grips with the death of a child. Membership in the self-help group is open to anyone who has lost a child from miscarriage to adulthood. Finally a chapter of the Compassionate Friends will open in the Philippines.

We need Members of three or more families who are grieving the death of a child (parents, grandparents, siblings or other family members) to start this chapter. We are inviting bereaved parents to contact Compassionate Friends .

The mission of Compassionate Friends (TCF) is to assist families toward the positive resolution of grief following the death of a child of any age and to provide information to help others be supportive.

There is no religious affiliation and there are no membership dues or fees. There is noreligious affiliation and no individual membership fees or dues are charged. All bereaved family membersare welcome. Founded in England in 1969, TCF was established in the United States in 1972, with 501(c)(3) not-for-profit incorporation in 1978, under which provision the organization’s nearly 600 local chapters alsooperate. TCF operates as separate entities in nearly 30 countries around the world.

The secret of TCF’s success is simple: As seasoned grievers reach out to the newly bereaved, energy that has been directed inward begins to flow outward and both are helped to heal. The vision of The Compassionate Friends is that everyone who needs us will find us and everyone who finds us will be helped.

The Compassionate Friends offers a safe outlet for people to talk about their feelings,
