And her nose starts to bleed a most beautiful ruby red

December 2nd, 2003 with 122 views

I woke up this morning with a reddish stain on my pillow, dried blood on my cheek, and fresh blood dripping from my left nostril. Boy, did that make me jump out of bed. For the past couple of days I have been greeting the world good morning with my nose bleeding like my monthly period. And then aside from the nosebleeds I have in my sleep, I usually get another one sometime during the day. Weird thing is that the blood only comes out of my left nostril–never on the right. I’ve never had so many nosebleeds in a week and it’s making me feel a little nervous, like there might be something wrong with my body. And it’s really quite disgusting how I keep waking up with blood all over my face. Maybe I should make some sort of improvised nose tampon and plug it up my left nostril before I go to sleep. Hmm. Let me try that out tonight.

Math in an hour and a half! I should be studying right now because I think we have a quiz, but instead I am Friendstering and downloading music. Besides, who can concentrate on the equation of a line with Sharon Cuneta wailing in the background like there’s no tomorrow? Not me.

Maybe I should go to school and see who’s at the bench. Argh. I can’t stand it here.

Lauren you need more vitamin d in you life, eat more liver or leafy greens. if you have nosebleeds for more than a week day after day i would recommend going to the doctor, we don’t want you having expistaxis(constant nosebleeds) do we? i myself had uncontrollable nosebleeds in japan, as much as 6-8 times a day. but i had surgery to finally stop the bleeding, hopefully it’s not as serious as mine was.

Hmm… you need a little more iron in your diet to replace all that blood loss! Like Chris A mentioned above, I suggest you see a doctor as well. Nosebleeds may be the symptoms of more serious underlying problems. In the meantime, drink lots of warm water!!

I agree that you should see a doctor. I get nose bleeds a lot when I was younger, and I still get them when the air is really dry. The school nurse in 7th grade told me that I should check out a doctor, but I never did. *eeps*

Well mine’s not that serious. I think it might be the weather…sometimes it’s too hot sometimes it’s too cold
