I am an insomniac in the making
I’d like to get some sleep because I need to be up early tomorrow, but my roommates are talking, making this impossible.
I’d like to close my eyes so that I would feel at least a little sleepy, but all the lights are on, making this impossible too.
I’d like to talk to Jason so that I can fall asleep to his voice whispering sweet nothings to me, but his phone just rings and rings without him calling me back like he always does.
I’d like to read a book in order for me to get to sleep, but the only good book I have with me is Dangerous Angels and it’s making me feel lonely.
I’d like to eat something to quiet my grumbling stomach, but I haven’t gone to the gym in a week and if I eat that Tim Tam bar in the fridge I will become as huge as a horse.
I’d like to do something productive with my awake time, but I just don’t feel like working on my Filipino essay right now.
I’d like to do to anything that will make me fall asleep in an instant but unfortunately, the only thing I can think of doing is to stare at the ceiling and pray that sleep will come to me sometime soon.

Breakfast with kitties
Argh, it seems like I miss out on a lot of happenings at school every time I go home on Friday afternoons. I didn’t know about the alt+G staff meeting at 5 yesterday until Twinkle texted me. By the time I found out, it was already too late.
I miss the alt+G people; I haven’t really talked to any of them since the last meeting I went to. Not to mention that I also feel so guilty for skipping meetings all the time! But then I can’t afford to miss Filipino class with finals drawing near. Gah. Stress.
I heard that the CADS (Company of Ateneo Dancers) event last night was a lot of fun too. I kind of wish I went, but I didn’t really feel like dishing out a hundred twenty bucks to see Creepy Guy dance. He’s already disturbing enough without him dancing and all, and besides, I don’t know what he would make of my presence. Oh well.
I think there was also this other event at the covered courts, some free concert or something last night. Ahhh! I had better tell my mom to pick me up on Saturday mornings instead.
In other news, I saw Breakfast At Tiffany’s for the first time and I almost liked it. Audrey Hepburn was adorable and yes, as much as I hate to admit it, I am a huge sucker for romantic comedies no matter how corny or predictable their endings are. But then the way Breakfast did this whole stereotype of Asians–the Japanese guy there was buck-toothed, grouchy, acted all clumsy, and spoke English with a heavy accent–ruined everything for me. What a huge turn-off! I guess the concept of being politically correct wasn’t so popular at that time (1961). Racists.
They say that Breakfast at Tiffany’s was Audrey Hepburn’s best movie because she was an excellent actress in it. Though I liked the way she portrayed Holly Golightly’s character, I think that the best actor in that movie was the cat. God knows it’s extremely difficult to tame and train a cat, but the kitty was well-behaved throughout the entire movie. It looked like it knew just when to come in, jump on someone’s shoulder, or just sit there and look adorable. Not only that, but it seemed to show real affection for Audrey Hepburn as well. That cat was really amazing. It’s sad that I hardly ever see cats for more than a few minutes in movies these days. Breakfast At Tiffany’s is definitely worth watching again, if only to see the kitty’s performance.
