My best is never enough

I feel like crap.

Aside from failing today’s math long test by a very steep landslide, I still can’t grasp the fucking concept of inequalities even though I’ve been trying to understand it since 7 p.m. I should have gone home to my tutor today instead of last night. I’m totally freaking out here because I don’t understand anything at all!

What sucks is that I can study until dawn, but in spite of all my effort I just know I’ll end up failing the midterms anyway. :( Last night I thought I would ace today’s long test. Boy, was I so wrong.

I suppose if I study my ass off during the next half of the semester, I can at least manage to get a D on Math 11. Fuck high grades; as long as I pass and get this subject over with I will be very, very glad. Until now, the ultimate question still remains unanswered: why do I have to slave away on all these maths when I probably won’t need it after college???

I need a hug. :( :( :(

Inequalities as in greater than, less than? What exactly do you dislike about them (I hated them too, particularily when they contained more than one > or < and variables)?

 *hugs* no worries. after college, you get your first job and to be honest w/you, your college education doesn’t really matter as much anymore. all that matters is you went. everyone starts looking at your work experiece, not your grades or your degree. that’s why you can see an english major working as a computer tech, and vice-versa. i know its stressful now, but trust me, its not as big of a deal when you get to look back on it  keep your chin up!

I used to understand them during the early part of the semester, but now I’m like, “How the hell does this work again!?” Aside from being bad at math, I also I easily forget everything I’ve learned. :sigh:

Thanks! :D I don’t want to fail any classes, but it’s good to hear that it won’t matter so much if I get a low grade in math 11 (which is what will probably happen considering that I haven’t passed a single quiz yet!).

    Thanks!

*hugs* its going to be alright Lauren. Its sounds tough but like ladybug says its work experience that counts for a lot more. Just hang in there now.

I’m in Calculus right now, and trust me, you will rarely use inequalities again, if at all. It’s no biggie, thank God.

I had some serious problems understanding maths in the university too :( Don’t worry. There are a load who are no maths genies out there.
