There’s no place like home! There’s no place like home!
Question: What have I done today?
Answer: I’ve discovered that heat and humidity causes pimples. I was able to hang out with one of my very close friends tonight. I practically got run over by a bloodthirsty group of HUGE Atenean guys. I almost made friends with this guy in my English block.
We had to be with our English block today, and since we sorta had assigned seats, I ended up sitting next to this guy called Ino. I managed to find the courage to initiate a conversation, and we had a really good one going before the mass began. After the mass, we had org tours and Ino and I went together. Halfway through the tours, I sat away from him and he ended up sitting next to this girl called Ina. Someone asked them if they were twins because of their names and they were both like, “Yeah!”, even though they don’t look anything like each other. After that, they got this idea to both wear their cap and glasses so that they’ll really look like twins. And from then on, Ino abandoned me for Ina. =P I can’t exactly blame him. I mean, Ina is the kind of girl who is perky, cheerful, vivacious, friendly. The kind of girl who can make a dorky thing such as blowing plastic balloons something really fun to do. The kind of girl who can skip and dance her way into peoples’ hearts. In other words, Ina is everything I’m not. I don’t dance, and I certainly don’t skip. I stare.
Not that I don’t like Ina or anything. That’s just it; she’s just impossible not to like. I’m just explaining why someone would pick her company over mine. Anyway, by the end of the afternoon, Ino and Ina were more like…..Siamese twins than pretend twins. They had their arms around each other the entire time and they were totally inseperable. Seeing them together made me feel a little better about Ino suddenly forgetting about my existence. There’s no better sight than two people in love, or falling in love with each other. But I have to admit that watching the Siamese Twins made me feel a little sad and jealous. I mean, it’s just not fair. Why can’t I (physically) be with the one that I love?
ORSEM night was fun. Since I’m not really friends in the strictest sense with anybody in my English block, I hung out with Charlie and her English blockmate, Sel. By sheer luck, I managed to run into Chris and his best friend Anthony, and we hung out during the early part of the party. Sponge Cola played a few songs, and since this is the first time I’ve ever heard their music, I am now officially a fan. I want to get their CD the moment I have some money saved. We couldn’t leave the covered courts until after 9 p.m., and by then I was really tired and sweaty and about to OD from too much carbon-dioxide. Not to mention that I was dying to take a shower too. But my sister wanted to eat out, so going home had to be delayed for a little while. =P I probably wouldn’t have been annoyed about it if she was less bitchy, but she’s hardly ever really nice to me. Fact of life.
For the first time in weeks, I’ve been going to bed before midnight. =P I guess it’s a good thing; I’ve been really tired the past couple of days. I still have quite a bit of things to do tomorrow, such as print out my schedule and talk to Jason about his travel plans. But at least I’ll be able to catch up on my sleep during the next two days.

well, the random generator on rbj landed me to your site. in an attempt to read new blogs, i read yours. anyway i just wanted to drop by and say hello. Hello! *waves hand*.
Ohh Lauren , haven’t commented here for quite some time. I can’t believe you’re in college already. You were just a pre-teen the first time I read your journal. :sigh:
OOh I also use that generator whenever I’m bored.
Ooh la la. Ino and Ina. Never underestimate the power of alliteration.
Hi!
I hope you drop by here often.
Aww. What do you know, I can’t believe I’m in college either.
Man, I feel old. :sigh:
More like…the power of luuuurve. =P
Hey Laur- Haven’t been online in a while…
Grabe…Orsem is so tiring! But definitely fun. My block’s pretty great…6 nga lang yung guys. Hehe. I think I’ll be popping in the inet scene sporiadically from now on since school’s going to start na….:)
Sel and Charlie are my English Blockmates….R02.
Did you catch LA Ferriols on stage? Grabe!
She used to be my kabarkada and still a good friend now…The girls behind who were cheering for her were the AA crowd…:P I want to go to Boracay too!
Talaga? Hehehe.
I saw LA onstage, she’s pretty good! I like that song she sung. Czeena is in my SocSci block and Alys was a friend of mine from high school. I used to talk about Alys in my journal kasi we both joined the LSGH drama club during our senior year. Hehe. I wanna go to Boracay too, but not right now! I mean, no one’s there at this time of the year. =P I’m really looking forward to Monday and recruitment week!
I’ll see you at school.
There are around 7 or 8 guys in my block. None of them are drop-dead gorgeous, but they all look pretty decent. I thought all the cute guys are taking up Comm? Or maybe they’re in the Management courses. Oh well…I love how there is so much eye candy at Ateneo!
Ey Lauren, heard you met my sister in your block. Next time I drop her off at school lets catch up. Gil.
Sure.
Does Shira dorm or do you bring her to school everyday?
She doesn’t dorm, so if my dad doesn’t bring her/pick her up, I have to. Major hassle Ateneo’s far.
ina sounds slightly nauseating
heat and humidity sounds gross =(
your new layout looks AWESOME
I know. :p Dorms rock! hehe, just text me when you’re in the area.
Thanks.
I really hate the heat.
Thank God it’s been raining a lot lately.
