Oh mirror in the sky, what is love?

Ugh, cramps. I swear, I hate getting my period. I think I will get an Advil in a little while but first, a quick update on my life.

Something kind of strange happened. Before I took a quick nap early this evening, I saw that I got two SMS messages on my cellphone from a number I don’t have on my phone book. The first message said something like, “Lauryn? You there?” The second one said, “Ey, what’s up? -Tonic.” That totally caught me off-guard; I had to read the message three times before it sunk into me.

Tonic is here? In the Philippines?

It was a Smart number, so he couldn’t have sent it from the States. But why in the world is he in the Philippines right now? I replied to the message and said something like, “Tonic? You’re here?” But it’s been a few hours now and I have yet to get a reply. I tried calling the number but the cellphone was off.

Now, either one of two things is happening. Either someone is playing a really bad joke on me (in which case I hope the prankster gets a lot of bad karma for this) or my ex-boyfriend really is here. And if he is here…then he may or may not ask if we could meet up. I don’t think he’s gonna bug me about it or anything, but I’ll say no of course. It will all be very awkward and I don’t think any good can come out of our seeing each other again. I know we had something, but that was two years ago. I was fourteen and I was stupid and I thought I was in love and maybe I was but I fell for him for all the wrong reasons. He is my past. I love a guy who is far better than he could ever be. Therefore I have no reason to see him again.

It just amazes me though, that even though I tried to hide from Tonic he still managed to find ways to reach me. I guess he still feels love, or something like it, for me.

Or maybe he’s just really, really horny that he would actually go halfway around the world just to get some.

Guys.
