My fingers reek of gambas

February 20th, 2003 with 162 views

Ugh. I just had a late, late, dinner and I feel extremely bloated. My dad came home with food from Italianni’s, and how can any person in their right mind say no to that? Oh well, I’m gonna need all the energy I can get. I’ve got quite a lot of studying to do later and I’ll probably burn all the calories.

I swear, stress can seriously affect your monthly periods. Today I got up this morning with a…slightly heavy feeling around the chest area. Okay, I’ll say it: sore breasts. And that’s like a telltale sign of my period coming soon. I actually felt slightly cheerful with that knowledge. So that explains why I’ve been acting so moody and emotional the past couple of days! I was starting to think that I was slowly mutating into the Depressed Teenager From Hell. Like it’s still possible to get any more pessimistic than I already am. I’m telling you, it sucks to have PMS on the week of Valentine’s Day. Or actually, any day when your love life is going nowhere but down.

My mom says that my dad’s worried about me getting a boyfriend in college. Specifically, in my first year, first sem of college. Oh God, please don’t make me laugh. He really has nothing to worry about.

perhaps you should not think so much about your lovelife. focus on other things so you won’t feel so depressed. it’s not the end of the world just because you don’t have a boyfriend. as M said, love comes when you least expect it. don’t look too hard for it.

i am a girl with that experience. i never bothered about my lovelife throughout high school (i was too busy with studies) and even in college, i never thought of it either. but the unexpected happened. so now i have a wonderful boyfriend.

so, cheer up lauryn! you’ll find someone special. you just haven’t met him yet.

hey, thanks for your comment. :)

well, about the last part of your post, i’ll just agree w/ everyone else who’ve commented here thus far. i have to admit. im now in college, and i’ve never had a girlfriend ever since i (thought i) knew how to love. but then again, who knows? something might happen tomorrow, or a few days from now.

same thing goes with you. don’t jump into conclusions just yet. you’re still young. >> 8-)

Yep. Stress does affect monthly periods. I’ve only had a total of 15 hours of sleep last week and I’ve been working hard the whole sem… Now my period’s gone irregular. Don’t fuss too much about your lovelife… mine’s non-existent so my super strict dad isn’t that worried anymore. ;)
