Cheerleading is good for intellectual growth
I noticed that I have more focus and concentration when I study from 9 p.m. onwards. Of course, in spite of all my effort last night, I had a really hard time answering my tests today (Physics, Filipino and Health). It wasn’t just me who thought that they were more difficult than usual, but still. Quarterly exams make up a huge percentage of my final grade. Maybe I can talk my teachers next year into letting me do a special project or something, even if it means I have to do it over Christmas break. What the hell, I already have daily cheerleading practice after Christmas. I’m sure that ontop of my college essays, I can handle writing a paper or two. Goodbye vacation, then…
I still can’t decide if it was dumb of me to join cheerleading or not. I had forgotten how tempers run high during cheerleading season and was only reminded after school today when we had a meeting about what we’re going to wear. Rajelyn wants us to wear pants because a lot of the cheerleaders pull their skirts down after doing cartwheels and it doesn’t look nice. But a lot of us want to wear skirts because pants and cheerleading just do not go together. Personally, I really couldn’t care less about our costume. I mean skirts are cute and so is my ass, but they make me look smaller than I already am. Besides, I have horrible legs. On the other hand, I’d be more comfortable dancing in pants, but I wouldn’t exactly feel like a cheerleader in them. Well anwyay, because a lot of the cheerleaders are really belligerent and bitchy, this huge argument took place with everyone yelling at each other and all. For once, I just sat impassively in my seat and didn’t bother speaking up. I don’t think I could’ve been heard over the noise anyway and besides, I know Rajelyn will always get her way in the end since she’s head cheerleader. No sense wasting any energy over that. I wanted to leave the meeting since it was becoming so stupid, but decided not to because I do want to be a cheerleader and I didn’t want to piss Rajelyn off. So I stayed. It’s amazing how people can get so riled up over little things like that. It’s so…high school.

been to your photo gallery. you’ve really grown. laters.
Sounds like my “squad,” at college, which is no longer allowed to do stunting (its not quite cheerleading anymore, then, but I do sort of like it) and we are getting new uniforms. A lot of the girls want pants because we aren’t “real” cheerleaders anymore, we’re now an extension of the dance team that just happens to do sideline cheers. Personally, I love skirts.
But I do hope your issues resolve themselves.
