I’ve got too much love running through my veins

December 2nd, 2002 with 160 views

The world is on my side today. I talked to my English teacher and she told me that our paper won’t be due till the 11th. :) Looks like this week won’t be as stressful as I anticipated it to be. And, we won’t be having rehearsals tomorrow! I’m supposed to watch this production of Once On This Island at UP tomorrow evening with my friends, and I completely forgot all about it. I only remembered when Kriya reminded me this afternoon and although I *already* bought a ticket (it wasn’t cheap either), I decided to decline at the last minute. I hate to waste money, but UP is so far away and I really want to take advantage of my extra hours of rest. Plus, I gotta study for the SATs. Ugh, I sound so nerdy! I swear–I am going to have fun when my quarterly exams are over in two weeks. No staying at home for me during Christmas break!

I remember how I always looked forward to Christmas when I was a kid. It was like the highlight of my year, next to my birthday. But now, I think it’s sad how Christmas is so freaking commercialized these days. All everyone really cares about is getting presents or money. And that’s what the funny part is–on Christmas, we’re supposed to be celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. Why are we giving presents to each other? It’s so weird. I bet half of all the Christmas shoppers in the world don’t even know the real meaning of Christmas. Heck, I’m not even sure if I know what the real meaning of Christmas is. But I continue to give presents anyway. I might start my shopping on Monday, since I have no school. I’m told that I’m good at giving gifts. For some reason, I seem to know exactly what my friends need or want, and I really make sure that I get them that. I guess the difference between me and a lot of people is that I give presents because I really care about that person, not just for the sake of giving them something. The irony of it though, is that some of the people I give presents to don’t even deserve to get a greeting card from me. It’s called unrequited love.

I’d better go to bed.

it’s just so sad to think that a lot of people raally don’t know what Christmas is all about. im a Christian, but even as someone who has a deep relationship with Christ, i still do encounter more problems.as a christian, you experience a lot more traumatic situations, than you would as an ordinary person. I guess, you would never know what Christmas is, if you don’t get to know the first six letters of it. Christmas isn’t about gifts at all. its that time of the year, that you are much more reminded of the peace inside of you. something, that you didn’t earn, rather, its something that comes as grace. (and for the record, im not a catholic)

Far as I know, nearly all of the radios and rolling luggage tuners shown here are no longer being manufactured. love Most were hen’s teeth when they were new, too. digital camera That even goes for the days when I saved up to giftologies buy a Nordmende portable radio (in the pic above) survival kit in 1967. That thing was killer. It even had a birthday backplane that made it work in a bracket as a golf gift car radio, with the car’s own speaker(s) and stereo system outside antenna.
