Today I feel as attractive as a hippopotamus
I don’t like myself today, or rather, my physical self. I definitely gained weight since the start of sem break. Okay, so I’ve been having dance workshops for the past three days, but the exercise I’ve been getting is totally useless because I end up going home hungry and eating a heavy dinner. And I hardly ever eat dinner. UGH! I hate, hate, hate that I’m not as skinny or that my skin isn’t as flawless as those models in magazines. As a matter of fact, I’ve decided to boycott all teen magazines because I don’t like being reminded of how far from perfect I am. But anyway, I’m definitely going to resume my habit of skipping dinner because Tracy’s debut is in two weeks and if my gown becomes too tight, then I am dead meat. Dead fat meat.
I just realized that I don’t like the way I look when I smile. Yuck. I saw the pictures from that family pictorial we had last week and boy, did I look terrible. I suppose my facial muscles weren’t working so well that night, because my smiles looked Heart Evangelista fake (a local “celebrity” that I extremely dislike). I know it sounds dumb and shallow but really–I hate knowing that there are ugly and embarassing photos of me in existence. One of these days when the SATs are nothing but a distant memory, I will hunt down all my awful-looking pictures and burn them till they are nothing more than ashes.
Ugh, I’m going to bed with ten, undigested, fat (but not calorie) free jellybeans in my tummy.

You are beautiful just the way you are Lauren. Don’t ever, EVER, think otherwise. I don’t know why it is that you girls have such a problem with self-image, but when two of the most wonderful women in my life (being my girlfriend and you) say they don’t like themselves, it hurts me to hear it. Don’t judge yourself to the people you see in magazines, because I think they look fake and ugly. You are beautiful. My girlfriend is beautiful. I wish you both could see that.

PS: was at the PULP freak show too!! .. didnt get to see any dreadlocked girl there… but i did get to see the same jologs .. anyway, i think u have this thing on JOLOGS, be easy on them.. hehehe cool rin sila, you have to look them for what they are and for their individuality…
