A family pictorial
Fatness! This is the third night in a row where I ate dinner after six. Not only that but I had a really heavy lunch too. I can feel the fats in my belly rolling around as I breathe and it’s really disgusting. I normally don’t gripe about my figure like this, but I really really hate my body today. Yuck.
We had this formal pictorial thingie tonight with my dad’s immediate family and my cousins. I dunno why but my mom dragged me to the parlor during my mid-afternoon nap so I could have my hair blow-dried and my legs waxed. I was in a high state of grouchiness all day because I only had like, four hours of sleep last night max. My cousins Arielle, Kannah and Ingrid slept over our house and since we’ve been telling each other ghost stories all night, my sister and I decided to arrange our beds in such a way that we could sleep side by side and protect each other from white ladies and hangmen. I ended up sleeping next to Ingrid, who for some reason keptshifting positions every five minutes. I fell asleep at two and woke up at four because her butt was in front of my face. I couldn’t sleep again until five. Then at seven my aunt and uncle barged in the room to wake us up because we had to go the cemetery. So…yeah. I didn’t appreciate being roused from my nap but boy, did I wake up when I had my legs waxed. Torture! Although I have to say that having my eyebrows threaded hurt a lot worst, I’m really a chicken when it comes to pain. My legs did look a lot nicer afterwards, but still. I don’t like experiencing unnecessary pain.
The entire pictorial took two hours because my kid cousins kept fighting and throwing tantrums. Four-year old Lauren grabbed this picture book from two-year old Margarita, which caused the latter to scream and cry as if she were being taken away from her parents. Lauren then refused to pose for the camera, and then for some reason five-year old Bianca and six-year old Meghan had an argument and began to cry as well. While their respective mommies shushed them and rubbed their backs, all everyone else could do was stare. *sigh* I don’t remember ever throwing tantrums in public as a kid. I hope that means my offspring will be well-behaved as well.
Because the pictorial took ages and ages, I wasn’t able to go wall-climbing tonight as planned. Grr. I hope I still have time tomorrow. I can’t believe today is the second to the last day of sem break!
