Hanging from a canyon by a thin white thread

Listening to: Yokan - Dir En Grey

School was all right. I’m quite relieved that I don’t have any tests to study for tomorrow. I had some homework to do, but that was quickly taken care of. It’s nice to know that I’ve got a whole evening ahead of me–I think I’ll light some incense and read a book or something.

I hate it when people start telling me something and end up not telling me anything. I spend the entire day wondering what they were about to say to me–specially when they begin talking with that I-know-something-you-don’t-know look on their faces. Usually I can get them to say it to me through my eloquent powers of persuasion. But sometimes, it doesn’t work. Just before school ended, Nikki grabbed my arm and said with this kind of knowing grin on her face, “Hey, I heard something about you.” Naturally that statement got me kind of paranoid–has anyone been spreading rumors about me? She must’ve sensed that I was expecting some bad news from her because she quickly said, “Don’t worry, it’s nothing bad. Basta, I heard something about you.”

“Tellmetellmetellmetellmetellme!” I said excitedly in one breath. What could it be?

Nikki looked behind her shoulder furtively and said in a low voice, “Not here. There’s too many people.”

I don’t think my classmates could care less if anything cool happened to me. Therefore I couldn’t see the reason for Nikki’s silence. I followed her to her locker, all the while begging her to please “Tell me, I swear, I’m dying of curiousity!”

Still she refused to say a word. She told me to just SMS her tonight, which I did, and she didn’t even reply to my message. Even worse than a person who starts telling me something and ends up not saying it, is a person who doesn’t reply to my SMS. Oh well. It’s probably not a very big deal–but I’m just really, really curious to know what it’s about. Angelica says she thinks someone might have a crush on me. Could be, but Nikki and I don’t have any mutual guy friends. Could it be….a girl? Nah, that’s impossible. My appeal only works for guys. Not girls. I think.

Party tomorrow night! I can’t wait.
