We all sing the same old song
Listening to: Gessekai by Buck Tick
That is one cool song. I don’t understand the lyrics since it’s in Japanese, except for one word: hikari, which means light. But I listen to it all the freakin’ time anyway. It sounds like the kind of song I might play in the background should I decide to shoot heroin and screw my brain cells up. Not that my brain cells aren’t screwed up already or anything. And word to the wise: drugs are scary.
I spent the previous hour studying logarithms in the hopes that I might pass my math long test tomorrow. I think I pretty much understand everything though, but just to be sure I’ll solve a couple of more problems before I go to bed. It’s really annoying how I can solve all these math problems effortlessly before the test, but then during the test itself my brain freezes over and it’s like I never studied at all. I hope it doesn’t happen tomorrow because I really need to raise my math grade. My mom’s gonna buy me a Phantom Planet CD if I get an 80 in math this quarter.
I worked on my novel today and wrote about three or four pages. It’s still a rough draft, and I’m writing it a lot slower than I expected. It doesn’t sound so good yet either but oh well, I can always fix it again when I’m done with the entire thing. My Aunt Myrna was nice enough to get me an autographed copy of When Elephants Dance when she met the author two days ago. I hope her [my aunt's] novel becomes a success so I can have connections in the San Francisco literary circle. Maybe she could be my editor or something.
School again tomorrow! My life’s becoming so routine and predictable. So far, my senior year hasn’t been any fun.
