I’ve got cramps and I don’t feel too good
Two whole days to go before I leave for Laos/Bangkok! I can’t wait to go. Bet none of the people I know has ever set foot in Laos. Not that they’d really care…my friends aren’t really into exotic places and unusual things like I am. I wonder though, if Laos and Thailand are any different than the Philippines. I consider them as exotic places but I kind of have my doubts because I went to the Laos embassy and I was disappointed because the Laos people looked just like Filipinos. If a Filipino had been working there, I wouldn’t have been able to tell him apart from the Laoatians (is that how you call it?). I hardly consider the Philippines as an exotic place, although lots of weird stuff has happened here over the years. Maybe it’s because I’ve lived here all my life and I’ve gotten used to the things other people might consider exotic.
My mom and my sister are starting to pack some stuff already and I haven’t yet. I’m only bringing five tops, a pair of jeans and capri pants because my parents say that I can buy heaps and heaps of clothes in Bangkok and I don’t need to bring much. Hmm, sounds good to me. I need to make myself a new CD because we need to be in the airport at 5 a.m. on Sunday although the flight’s at 8. I guess I’ll just spend those three hours listening to music and reading. My sister says you aren’t allowed to use your Discman during the flight cos it could screw up the signals, which could make the plane crash and all. Bummer. During long trips I just like to stare out the window and listen to music and no matter how long the trip is, some how that makes time fly by faster.
Anyway, I have a problem looking for songs to download. I don’t listen to the radio much because I can’t stand it when DJs hog the entire program and yak away. You wait for them to finally shut up and when you do, it’s like, “Thank God!” But then after all your patience, they end up playing some crappy song and it’s just not worth it. If you are a DJ and you’re reading this, do all the people in the world a favor: just shut up and play the goddamn music, and make it good too. I made myself a CD of jrock songs and I think it sounds cool, but I wanna listen to something with lyrics I can actually understand. See, that’s why language can be so frustrating. So…can anyone recommend any songs to me before Friday midnight (US Eastern time)? Preferably emo songs or something NIN-ish. Nothing too hardcore and nothing with whiny guitars. I can’t stand whiny guitars.
I think I’m gonna have my period anytime this week.
