The intelligent musings of a couch potato

I went to Greenhills with my mom and my sister this morning because I was bored with the movies we had and cos I was running out of decent Playstation games. My uncle Sean was supposed to lend me Resident Evil 2 but he accidentally brought it with him when he left for Baguio yesterday. I didn’t want to be bored on my last day as a bum–I start review classes again tomorrow. So I forced myself to get up early this morning so we could get a good parking space, because everybody goes to Greenhills for (pirated) DVDs and such.

Among the DVDs that I bought was From Hell, which I’ve been dying to see with my friends when it was showing some months ago. Unfortunately, the lady at the ticket counter wouldn’t sell us any tickets because she didn’t believe us when we said we were eighteen (duh). I keep forgetting to buy the VCD and fortunately I remembered when I saw the DVD as I passed by a stall. I had just finished watching it about half an hour ago and they sure weren’t kidding when they rated it R-18. It’s so bloody and gruesome, but I didn’t understand the story so much because their bloody English accents were so hard to decipher! Not only that, but the sounds in that DVD weren’t very good. So I put on subtitles cos I don’t mind reading movies, but whoever made those subtitles was more deaf than I was. The words were wrong and the grammar was terrible and I tried my best to avoid reading the subtitles so I wouldn’t become more annoyed. From Hell had a sad ending, and sometimes I don’t know whether I should be pissed or glad with sad endings. When a movie ends well I always think, “That would never happen in real life.” But then when it has a sad ending I’d be like, “Why, why, why? That’s not how it’s supposed to end!”

It would’ve been a lot better if I saw From Hell in the theater, though. It would’ve been a lot freakier with the huge screen and the digital sounds. I can’t wait to turn eighteen so I can see whatever movie I want.

And since we’re on the subject of movies, I must say that I liked Episode 2 a lot. I thought it would be crap but it wasn’t. Lots of awesome fight scenes and the story was good. But I guess it’s the kind of movie that only Star Wars freaks should see. The reason why my friends decided to see it was cos the only other movie showing in Glorietta was Spiderman and we all saw that already. Apparently, they had no idea what a Jedi was and spent most of the movie talking and gawking at Hayden Christensen (Who is sooo hot, by the way. My favorite scene was when he was having that nightmare–I could see the upper part of his bare, sexy chest!).

I’m watching from hell right now. It is preety good. However, I didn’t find the English accents confusing either. Episode 2 was okay, the Yoda fight was awesome! I like that scene of Hayden Christensen too.

I really liked Episode 2, too… :) And um… Don’t be in such a rush to get older. Really.

we were just watching from hell after the cotillion practice today. it was so bloody, and i couldn’t understand the words either because of their accents. i fell asleep near the end of the movie, but i woke up 30 minutes or so before it ended. what a sad ending.
