Blind white lies and shallow truth

I am extremely glad that my Spanish exams are finally over. Assuming that I will pass, classes resume on June and for an entire month I will be free from preterito indefinidos. How awesome is that? I think I might’ve passed the exam though but I don’t want to be too optimistic because life can be really ironic like that. When I think I pass I don’t. But for some reason my teacher seemed really pleased during my oral exam. I really can’t see why because the moment my turn, came my brain froze over and I could not remember a single word in Spanish. After all that studying I did last night I just sat there for two minutes, unable to utter a single word until my teacher asked me questions. I finally came to my senses and was able to reply. When it was finally over she smiled a huge smile and exclaimed, “¡Muy bien! ¡Perfecto!” I wonder if she really meant that…I think she probably did because she said the same thing to my friend Gladys, who is really good at Spanish. So maybe I’m not hopeless in languages after all.

I really, really hope that I passed because I want to make it to the graduation. I received a copy of the programme and apparently there’s some performances before the distribution of certificates. And baile y tapas afterwards, whatever that is. I’m too lazy to reach for my dictionary, but any idiot knows that baile means dance. I plan to wear my off-shoulders white peasant top. Maybe a cute Spanish guy will ask me to dance the tango with him (and who cares if I can’t dance the tango to save my life?
cute guy ). *sigh* How typical–I always think that true love waits around the corner for me. Sometimes I think dreaming too much can be bad for me.

Tapas are like little plates of all different types of food, commonly eaten in the afternoon around lunch time. I guess it’s made so that you can choose a little bit of everything to eat and not get full? Anyway, I hope that you did well on your test and can attend the graduation!! I’m sure you did!
