I’m gonna soak up the sun while it’s still free
I went out for a movie with Kriya this afternoon. Apparently, Glaiza left her cell in one of her houses so we weren’t able to contact her. Angelica seems to be out of town and Denilou wasn’t allowed to go out. Oh well, it felt good to see Kriya anyhow. We saw Blow Dry, a British film (well, the entire cast was British) that starred Josh Hartnett as a barber. Can you believe that? Somehow the role and the accent just didn’t look right on him but he was so cute that we didn’t care. Rachel Leigh Cook is one lucky bitch. We came in late and before the next showing we saw a trailer for his next movie, 40 Days And 40 Nights. He plays this guy who is dared by his friend to abstain from sex and masturbation for 40 days and nights. Now that’s the kind of role that suits Josh Hartnett more. We’re definitely seeing it next week with Glaiza, if it will be showing that soon. And then maybe go partying somewhere if my dad will allow me to.
It was disappointing to note the lack of cute guys at the mall today. There was not a single one around at all. The only guys our age that we saw, practically, were “ghetto boys” (Filipinos who dress and talk like blacks). Actually there weren’t much people present at the mall, which is surprising for a Friday. Bummer. Everybody’s probably abroad or in the provinces or soaking up the sun in the beaches. Why anyone would want to roast in the heat by going to beaches, I have no idea. They say it’s so you can cool down but why get sunburn and skin cancer in the process? If I want to cool down I’d soak my head in a bucket of ice water and turn the air-conditioner to full blast.
So that was how I spent my day.
