In the morning I wake up and in the night I sleep
Today was your typical summer day–hot. It’s absolutely necessary to go about the house with my hair tied. I like it better when my hair is down but it’s just way too hot for that. I hate how my hair traps the heat in the back of my neck; it feels really uncomfortable. I didn’t go out at all and I grew so bored that I asked my friends if they wanted to see a movie this Friday. I think some of them might make it, which is good cos it has been awhile since I last saw them. Maybe I’ll even party a little with Kriya. I think it would be good to spend more time with them cos a year from now I probably won’t ever see them again. I don’t really have any intentions of showing up at high school reunions. Past is past, but maybe I’ll drop by for a couple of minutes when I become filthy rich or something.
I just hate how the days seem so endless sometimes. I’ve stopped keeping track of the dates, and I hardly ever look at my watch anymore. Time means nothing during this time of the year and for once it sucks not to be busy or stressed out. I really wish they’d let underage people get summer jobs in this country.

they do, actually. you just need to find the right places and talk to the right people
Hmm… We can get jobs when we’re 14 here. How old do you have to be?
I think you can get jobs.. You just have to get your parents’ consent or something like that.
