I’m fine between the lines

I was so bored today that I decided to make tonight’s dinner. Ham and pea soup and mashed potatoes with gravy. It sure gave me something to do but I should’ve known better than to try and cook something in the midsummer heat. It was so *hot* in the kitchen–trying to stay in there was like climbing into an oven. And after an hour and a half, the meal was finally done. The mashed potatoes and gravy turned out good; the soup was a bit sweet because of the peas and I think I placed a tad too much thyme leaves. It could’ve tasted better but at least I can say that my cooking isn’t that bad at all.

My sister’s getting on my nerves today; she’s being a real bitch and I hate it when she does that. It makes her impossible to live with. Like awhile ago, I was watching a rerun of Third Rock From the Sun and she sits on the couch and said that she wanted to watch Jenny Jones. So I switch the channel and it’s about these moms who go out with guys for money and teach their daughters to do the same. Then my mom comes out and she’s like, “Okay, your dad had a feeling you were watching some ‘adult shows’ and he said for me to check it out.” And then I tell her, “Well, Marielle wanted to watch it.” Then my sister snaps at me like, “Now you’re blaming me.” It was true anyway–I was watching peacefully until she came in. It’s totally useless to argue with her, not because you’re sure to lose but because she yells so loud that she drowns out your voice, making it impossible for you to even hear yourself talking. I also find it annoying how she just suddenly barges in the room, cause me to jump half out of my skin. She just did it awhile ago and it’s so annoying. She never gets the hint though. If I tell her to be more gentle with the door she’ll just freak out. I’m not even gonna try.

So yeah, tomorrow’s the first day of my review classes and I hope to God that nobody from my school will be in the same class as me. The last thing I need is for school to start two months earlier than it’s supposed to.
