Horny pet cat

My cat, Lady, has reached puberty and is consequently horny right now. She used to be super affectionate and keep me company whenever I take my afternoon naps. Now she doesn’t like being shut in any of the rooms and spends a lot of time outside the house. My dad doesn’t want to take care of any more cats so he wants her spayed, but while we haven’t taken her to the vet yet she’s not allowed to go out of the house. There are a lot of stray tomcats waiting and roaming outside already, and today Lady started giving out a mating call and rolling around and rubbing herself up and down the furniture. She’s stuck in the computer room right now, keeping a sharp eye on the closed door, hoping it will open wide enough for her to dart through with her cat-like speed. Already I’m getting the sniffles. Poor kitty, it’s not really her fault she has to be trapped in the house; she’s only responding to animal nature. But I’d rather prefer her temporary misery than to allow her to give birth to several unwanted kittens. Knowing myself I’ll just end up begging my dad to let me keep all of them.

My first day of summer vacation was okay. I was supposed to meet up with Jean this afternoon but then I went to Powerbooks with my family. I didn’t buy anything because my mom bought me the English versions of Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo yesterday and I want to finish them first before I read something else. I’m such a bookworm, I’ll probably just read my entire summer away and get fat from lying down all the time. Aside from review classes and 12 guitar lessons, I don’t have any definite plans. I haven’t asked about jazz lessons yet, but I’m thinking more of fitness classes so I can sweat away the extra calories I’ll be taking in–and I’m sure that I’ll be eating a lot. I don’t think my vacation will be remarkable otherwise, but at least I’m doing something.
