Being a girl

My tummy hurts right now for reasons I don’t know. Maybe it’s indigestion or something cos I ate quite a lot during lunch today. It’s my (paternal) grandpa’s 70th birthday and my uncles, aunts and little cousins came to our house today and brought lots of food. :P I haven’t been spending much time with my younger cousins so today was like a good bonding experience. I amused myself by trying all sorts of hairstyles on my five-year old cousin’s hair and putting nail polish on her fingernails. My cousin has a lot of nail polish for a five-year old; she even has more than I do. She doesn’t buy it herself though, most of it is given to her by her nannies. They buy her little bottles as presents whenever they have day-offs. I think that’s really sweet. Anyhow I can predict that unless she moves to a different school, she’ll be really, really kikay (girly) when she becomes my age. Her school is really famous for kikay girls who speak Taglish (Tagalog-English).

I don’t really hang around little kids, most of the time I don’t want to have anything to do with them. But I had fun fixing up my cousin today. I can’t wait to have children of my own–that is, assuming that I’ll get married at all. I’d like to have girls so I can spoil them with all dresses, hair clips and nail polish they could ever want. A boy would be good too, I’d get a lot of exercise playing sports with him and stuff. But I’d rather that my first baby to be a girl cos from what I can see, raising up little boys can be quite a difficult.

I wish one didn’t need to get married or have sex and give birth in order to have children. What a hassle. :P
