She flies so high to an amazing state of bliss
I thought that classes would be suspended today because I woke up to a gray and gloomy morning. It was drizzling a little, my favorite kind of weather, and it really upset me that I had to be up and going when I should still be sleeping in. Unfortunately, the rain did not escalate to a downpour and I had to endure an entire day of school.
It wasn’t that bad though; in fact, I received most wonderful news this afternoon. My Trigonometry teacher got married over the sem break so after a week-long honeymoon she came back last Friday and we had our first session today. Since we didn’t have time to see our exam scores, she announced them and I was really, really nervous. I really needed to do well in my exams so I could maintain my grade because my quizzes aren’t that high. I was one of the last people to be called out, and I was practically hyperventilating by the time my name was announced. But to my surprise, I got an 89. An 89!!! I could hardly believe it when I heard it and I’m still in shock until now. My score was actually higher than Princess’ (the smartest girl in class), and she got a 100 during the first quarter exams. I’m not completely hopeless in math after all!
:)
I can’t believe that among my friends in class, only Michelle and Maricris are going to the field trip. Everybody else doesn’t feel like it. Aww, man! Where’s their sense of adventure? At first I wasn’t too hyped up about the field trip either but now that I think of it, I realized that I’m actually looking forward to visiting a mental hospital. I really want to know what it’s like inside, and it’s not everyday I’m given an opportunity to go to one. Oh well…it still hasn’t occured to me that not everybody is weird like me.
