All you know is when I’m with you I make you free

I didn’t do much today. Basically all I did was finish my homework, watch a little TV and then stay in my room and read. Lady, I soon learned, is one very hyper kitten. She loves attacking inanimate objects and entangling herself up in people’s hair, like what she did to me as I was sleeping this morning. Somehow, she managed to get into my room…I suppose it was because of my sister, who keeps forgetting to close doors. First, she attacked my dangling hand, then she climbed up my bed and started to claw and gnaw at my hair. With much difficulty I detangled her from myself and then put her out of the room. She never stays put; this afternoon I was studying in my room and if she wasn’t playing with the cord of my cellphone charger, she was pouncing at the pages of my notebooks and books and occassionally, at my hand or foot. Ahh! Kylee may be a grouchy monster but at least he can be docile when I want him to. I dunno..I suppose it’s because I’m his human. My mom is Lady’s human so maybe that’s why she misbehaves when she’s with me. Cats are so cute.

I watched A Knight’s Tale yesterday with Maricris. We were supposed to see The Princess Diaries but unfortunately, it wasn’t showing yet. A Knight’s Tale was good…I love medieval movies but aside from the pretty dresses the noble women got to wear, I wouldn’t want to live during that period of history. I browsed ahead in my World History textbook once and to my surprise, it said there that medieval times were dirty times because there was no running water. Therefore, people then did not take showers or baths. ¡Que triste! How can they live with themselves, with their stench? I simply cannot go through a day without taking a shower because I would feel so dirty and stinky and absolutely unbearable. When my sister when to Italy during the Jubilee Concert thingie, she said that the Filipinos were the only people who smelled clean. The guys she met were cute, she told me, but once she got to talk to them, she smelled their body odor and was absolutely turned off. The guy she talked to said it was a waste of water to take a shower daily but really..what’s the purpose of running water in your place then, if you don’t use it everyday? I seriously hope that no matter how handsome my husband will be, he will take a shower everyday or else I will refuse to share a bed with him.

I hate being broke. Yesterday I spent a good part of my money on a pair of silver hoop earrings. They weren’t that expensive but I didn’t have that much money so it was a pretty big loss. But the moment I put my new earrings on I realized that it was a good investment because I looked good in them. I wanted the biggest ones but they were expensive–$7, which is a lot of money to spend on a pair of earrings. Ah well, you can’t have everything you want.

The weekend was much too short. I can’t believe it’s gonna be Monday tomorrow, and that I’ll be back to waking up early until next Saturday.
