Now you’ve found a gun and you’re history

I got my glasses this morning. Wow. I don’t think anyone else in school has glasses like these. Actually, no one in my batch wears glasses anymore except for this one girl; everyone wears contact lenses because glasses are so “out”. People might think it looks strange but I like my new glasses. It makes me stand out and I think I look good in it. Besides, contact lenses make my eyes itch when I wear them too long.

Today was good. Went to the cemetery this afternoon as usual, took a two-hour nap after I was done with my English project and then spent the rest of my extra time on the phone. Ahh, the phone. The best invention man ever made. I never call people up because I feel like I’m disturbing them, so I let people call me up. There was a time when I didn’t like the phone and avoided all phone calls but now I actually tell people to call me. Is that weird or what?

I took this personality disorder test in the Internet and to my surprise and amusement, paranoia was my highest. I always thought it would be antisocial. I take great care in choosing my friends and I don’t waste my time on people whom I think aren’t worth wasting my time on. People in school think that I’m a snob because I only talk to my friends and totally ignore everyone else. I suppose that’s true but I really hate having to talk to people I don’t know. More out of shyness and self-consciousness than anything else I guess. Well whatever..I don’t give a damn about what they think of me; they mean nothing to me anyway.

School again! I swear, these weekends are just too damn short. We’ve got another career talk tomorrow afternoon and this time Ateneo de Manila University and Assumption College are going to speak. I’m annoyed that they didn’t get speakers from the University of the Philippines, because that’s my dream school. It’s a public school and the dorms aren’t air-conditioned but who gives a damn when there are oblation runs (guys who run around naked in order to get initiated into frats..oooh) and other exciting things? UP students are always the first ones to march during rallies and such, and I’d like that a lot. Hopefully there will be another political unrest by the time I’m in college…watch out for me in the news! I plan to be one of the speakers in the rallies. :) Ateneo would be good too, I’d probably meet classier people there but then again it doesn’t sound very exciting–they don’t really participate in rallies and stuff. I’m not the smartest person in class but I’m pretty confident I’ll get into UP, one way or another.
