I am a wolf but I like to wear sheep’s clothing
Today was a half-day for reasons I’m not so sure of–the teachers didn’t really elaborate on this. I think it had something to do with today being the Feast Day of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel because we didn’t do anything all morning except go to Mass and then have a talk about the Virgin Mary afterwards. Denilou was depressed and cried all morning. She then couldn’t take it anymore and for the first time in my life someone in school confided her deepest, darkest secrets to me. I think I’m a very good listener, but I guess people aren’t comfortable enough around me to tell me that kind of stuff. Anyway, I felt bad and wanted to cheer her up so I invited her to watch Final Fantasy with us. At first she didn’t want to cos she didn’t bring money with her but just so she could go I offered to pay for her. Anything is better than her just sitting at home doing nothing. Sure enough, two hours later she was smiling and laughing. Whew…sometimes I worry about her a lot.
Ana, Angelica’s cousin from Canada, came along with us. My friends had to change in school because it’s kind of a hassle to be changing in the mall. So Ana had to come inside to wait for us. She was wearing this top that only has one strap (I forgot what you call it) and as we were leavin the school–just our luck, we ran into one of the nuns. When the nun saw Ana in that top, she looked so shocked and scandalized and she was like, “Are you a student here? Why are you wearing that?” For a moment, Ana was speechless and then she was like, “Uhh…I’m from Canada. Visiting my cousin.” If only I wasn’t so worried the nun wouldn’t let us out because my friends were all in sleeveless I probably would have laughed. But fortunately she wasn’t one of the very strict nuns and after asking us why we were in street clothes, she let us go.
We had our lunch and then roamed around the mall aimlessly for an hour and a half because the movie starts at 2:50. We could have gone in earler except that it really sucks when you walk in the middle of the movie and you don’t know what’s going on. You know I think the Power Plant is good place when I’m in that sosyal mood. The people are all classy and the food is wonderful. Except other than just dressing up and looking all classy, there’s nothing else to do. All the clothes are too damn expensive! Which irritated me a little because I had more than enough money for clothes within my price range. But the cheapest piece of clothing that I liked cost at least twice the money I brought. Grr. The only things I bought were Bonne Belle lip balm and black nail polish, which I had been meaning to buy for some time now. The rest of the time I could do nothing except gaze longingly at the Miss Sixty tops that cost four times the money I had with me. How I wish!
Final Fantasy was awesome! The graphics were like, WOW, and the story was soooo sad. It was odd because I seemed to be the only one among us who understood the story. The rest of my friends–and my sister who came along–all had these blank, “Huh?” looks as we stepped out of the cinema. Then my sister started to broadcast to the entire mall (I say broadcast because she has such a loud voice) that the movie was so corny and boring and she didn’t understand it one bit. That really irritated me because how can you say that a movie is corny if you didn’t even understand the story? Of course I knew better than to say that to my sister because she would absolutely hit the roof and start bawling there in front of everyone to see. So I kept my mouth shut. Aren’t I the little martyr.
