One lonely star and you don’t know who you are

The juniors and the seniors of my school had a career talk this afternoon. Speakers from De La Salle University, Saint Benilde College and this other tiny university in Manila came to our school and introduced us to the courses that they’re offering and such. Thank God I’m only a junior..I haven’t given my future much serious thought yet. I mean, I know that I want to be rich and that I’m going to migrate to San Francisco but how I’ll be rich, I have no idea. I’m currently undecided on what course to take…my mind absolutely refuses to decide! Definitely nothing that involves business and accounting; I have little patience for numbers and debits and credits and whatnot. Something about creative writing of course…but I’m actually interested in ancient history. Could you believe that I’m actually considering archeology? I thought it would be good cos it means I could travel to really exotic places like Iraq and Peru and Egypt. Argh, I don’t know…at least I’ve got a year to think about this. Hopefully I’ll be able to make up my mind by then.

My hair’s getting really long now…I think it’s about time I get it trimmed a little. I think I’m the only girl in school who hates having anything done to her hair. I always wear my hair down with no clips or barrettes and I only very rarely have it set into braids or whatever. I guess it’s because I’m very self-concious of my skin and my huge ears. I don’t really mind my ears much–at least I’m guaranteed a long life, or so the Chinese say–but I wish they wouldn’t stick out so much. Oh well..there’s really nothing I can do about that now.

Jean called me this afternoon, asking me if he could come over because he was bored and had nothing to do. I wasn’t in the mood to have company tonight so I asked him if he could come tomorrow and if he could bring Levin’s pictures with him. Gosh, it’s been ages since I last saw Levin, but I still like the way he looks.
