Love is an ashtray in the pits of hell
I’m not afraid to die and go to hell anymore, cos I’ve been there already. As a matter of fact, I live there. Thank God for air-conditioning. Today was sooooo hot. I dunno what the temperature is exactly but it has to be forty-something degrees Celsius. Ugh. I went with my parents to eat at this food court in the Enterprise at the heart of Makati City. Before we went there I had to accompany my parents to the bank. The Enterprise was right across the street from the bank and in order to get there we had to cross the street. The heat was so overwhelming and if you stuck your tongue out you could actually taste the humidity. When I put my hand to my hair once I reached the shade, it felt like I put my head in an oven. I immediately felt sorry for the beggars you would occasionally see on the sidewalks of Makati. I don’t see how they can live under the scorching heat of the sun like that.
I spent the rest of my afternoon locked up in the air-conditioned computer room playing The Sims. We don’t have central air-conditioning in my house and it was just too hot to play PlayStation games or watch TV or do anything else outside an air-conditioned room. Come night time and the heat was gone, most of it anyway.
I got my much-awaited report card today. Ugh. Well my grades were all right, at least I didn’t fail anything and at least I didn’t get anything lower than 80. But they weren’t as high as I wanted them to be. Oh well, like I said, there’s always next year…I know I can do so much better.
