shyness

I took the test today. It was hard, but I didn’t really mind, considering the fact that I had missed one day at school. The kids there were really nice and friendly, not snobs like most of them in Miriam. And not a single gay. Yup, I’m definitely gonna like it there. That is, if I pass, which I hope I do.

I think I know where I got some of my traits. First, my shyness and timidness. I’m not that shy and timid, at least, I don’t think I am. I got it from my grandma in my father’s side. My mum told me that all the kids bugged my grandma and she had to be transfered just because her enemies were in the same section as she was.

Next is my Aunt Lani. I’m like her in a lot of ways. First, how I look. We look alike, we both look good when we have bangs and she got four teeth pulled out like I did and she got teased by the way she talked. I think I was too, but I’m not sure. Everyone says my sister is prettier than I am but heck, I’m cooler than she is! And nicer too. I don’t exactly get a kick outta studying and I got that from her too. My Aunt Aura told me that Aunt Lani was smart but didn’t like to study, like me. But she also told me that she was good in college. Maybe I will be too.

There’s one thing I didn’t find out where I got and that’s my being nosy. I don’t know why, but I want to know everyone’s secrets. When the kids at my class pass notes to each other, I just sit there, wondering what it could be about. I’m sure it’s nothing important but just the same, I’m dying to know what’s written.

On my grandpa’s birthday, he showed us old pictures, when he was young and when my dad was young and all that. He looked like my brother, in fact, all my uncles did when they were young. And my grandma, wow, she was really really beautiful when she just married my grandpa! She looked like one of those actresses in those black and white movies. That’s because she’s got 1/4 caucasian blood . It’s still obvious now, even if she’s old, she has brown hair and stuff like that. I have brown hair too, but it’s not that obvious. And I don’t look like her but my dad still has those caucasian features.

I wonder how I’ll look like when I’m older.
